JERZY UŚCINOWICZ, RADOSŁAW PIWOWARSKI’S HOUR OF TRUTH [RADOSŁAW PIWOWARSKIEGO GODZINA SZCZEROŚCI], ‘GAZETA OLSZTYŃSKA’, 1993, NO. 97
Secondary-school pupil Marysia Seweryn, the daughter of Krystyna Janda and Andrzej Seweryn, got the part by accident. When she had read the script she asked in dismay: How can I exchange kisses with my uncle? It turned out that Olbrychski had known Marysia from her infancy.
TOMASZ JOPKIEWICZ, INNOCENT LOLITA AND COMEDIAN [NIEWINNA LOLITA I KOMEDIANT], ‘FILM’, 1993, NO. 22
As usual in Radosław Piwowarski films, also this time the situation is both sweet and bitter. In ‘The Sequence of Feelings’ the clash is more painful than before. What’s most interesting in this film is the presentation of feelings as an experience causing not only pain but enriching one’s personality as well (…), but also as a play of appearances resulting from the acting profession of the hero. The melodramatic and showy gestures he applies to express his feelings make the girl accept the challenge and start playing as well. Both of them go astray in the game, both pay the price.
