[DIALOGUE FROM THE FILM]

Stary: You must learn good manners. Unless you want to go back to where you came from. Marianna: It’s none of your business where I came from. Stary: When were you released? Marianna: A month ago. Stary: See? I was right after all. A thief! Matron: I knew you’d be trouble. Marianna: I can do anything. I’m not afraid of work. I can tidy rooms, clean the bogs. But I’m not going back there again.

The film represents that kind of reasoning and proficiency on the part of the director which is hard to find in our cinema. (…) In ‘The Scream’ you are always coming into contact with secrets or understatements. (…) You are kept in suspense and expectation and you have to wait until the end for the explanation. Dorota Stalińska in the main role is interesting because of her otherness and peculiarity (…). Maybe we are seeing a conscious attempt at giving a professional ring to popular cinema.
